Hi borstjordan and welcome to Apple Discussions!
I am a little confused as to exactly what is happening here, so I hope you do not mind a few questions..
Is this a brand new computer? or did you just install a new operating system on an older computer? If the latter, did the line appear immediately after the install?
A solid black line at the top of the screen is not normal. There are several possibilities as to why it is occurring.
If you insert your install DVD and boot from it (restart the computer and hold down the C key during startup) is the issue still present? If so, the issue is definitely with your hardware. Contact Apple for service. Yes, Apple's call centers are open today, at least in the USA. Phone number is (800) 275-2273. For other locations see [this web page|http://www.apple.com/support/contact/phone_contacts.html].
Best of luck.

Os Explorer Maps
Open the Application Chooser by pressing VO-F1-F1 or, if you’re using VoiceOver gestures, double-tap near the left edge of the trackpad. Choose Finder in the Application Chooser. You can also use Mac OS X shortcuts by pressing Command-Tab and then using the arrow keys to navigate to the Finder. If a Finder window was open, you go to that window. Turn on Finder integration. If you’re on OSX 10.10 or higher, get sync status directly from Finder by enabling Finder overlays in Settings. First, click the Apple logo in the top left corner of your Mac Desktop and select System Preferences, then select Extensions in the top-level menu (shown in the 3rd row from the top). Toggle on the OneDrive Finder Integration to enable Finder overlays.
